Would you dare to jump? Lovers Leap Ski Base with Josh Daiek and Kristian Geissler.

I have filmed some crazy stuff in my time of being a professional videographer. To be honest I find it really hard to get an adrenaline rush from watching anything these days.

On the 3rd of february I got a facebook message from an old friend Josh Daiek who I used to shred kirkwood with who then went on to become one of the top Big Mountain Freeride skiers in the world.

Josh said "Hey buddy you want to get some aerial footage of us ski basing?"

I of course said heck yea that sounds bad ass. The next morning I woke up around 6:45am, headed over to Josh's house to get my ski boots fitted to his salomon back country touring skis and bindings and then we headed out to lovers leap.

I huffed all my camera equiptment up the and I believe it took me about 45 minutes or so to hike to the top of lovers leap and get set up at the exit point where Josh and Kristian planned on jumping.

I have to say it was really cool how scared I got looking over the edge of the cliff while setting up different angles with multiple GoPro cameras.

I felt like my heart was racing for these guys about to launch themselves off a cliff with a parashute.

I went over my flight route multiple times and got all the camera angles dialed in.

Once Josh and Kristian got to the top and I notified them of all the cameras rolling I here a dropping in 5 seconds.

I will let the video below do the rest of the talking.

Here are some behind the scenes photos and videos from this event.

PS in the behind the scenes video I am not fat I just had to stuff my jacket with all of the skins we used to hike up lol.
